Dana White has reacted to the shooting that disrupted the White House Correspondents’ Dinner over the weekend.

White, attending as a personal guest of President Donald Trump, was seated just feet from the main stage at the Washington Hilton when the incident happened. While Secret Service agents rushed to evacuate the President and JD Vance, and most guests took cover under tables, White remained seated.

The UFC CEO watched the entire security response play out. While video clips showed a room full of panic, White remained strikingly calm. The shooter was apprehended. The suspect is now facing multiple federal charges. The shooting has immediately raised questions about the safety of the upcoming UFC Freedom 250 event, scheduled for the South Lawn of the White House on June 14, 2026.

White Reacts

“It started getting noisy, tables started flipping over, guys running in with guns, and they were screaming ‘Get down. I didn’t get down. It was f–king awesome. I literally took every minute of it in, and it was a pretty crazy, unique experience,” White said

The Department of Homeland Security had already granted the event a SEAR 1 (Special Event Assessment Rating)—the same level of security provided to the Super Bowl. Following this weekend’s breach, sources suggest those measures will be amplified further. While upwards of 90,000 fans are expected to gather at the Ellipse to watch on video boards, officials are reportedly re-evaluating the number of spectators allowed onto the South Lawn for the actual fight card.
