Darren Till will make his BKFC debut against Aaron Chalmers at BKFC 90 on May 30 in Birmingham, England.

The former UFC welterweight title challenger announced the matchup during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show on Tuesday, per Sherdog, revealing he signed a three-fight deal with the bare-knuckle promotion. Till told Yahoo Sports he accepted the offer because “it was irrefusable” after initially being hesitant about joining BKFC. “It excited me. It got me juices flowing,” Till said. “It’s a tough old sport from what I’ve been watching. These guys, they’re not your traditional martial artists. They’re all just very gritty, hard-punching guys.”

Chalmers brings MMA and bare-knuckle experience

Chalmers, a former Geordie Shore cast member, compiled a 5-2 record in MMA with Bellator and BAMMA before transitioning to boxing and bare knuckle. The 38-year-old is 2-0 in BKFC, most recently stopping Chas Symonds at BKFC 72 last year, according to MMA Fighting.

Till left the UFC in 2022 after losing four of his last five fights following a submission loss to Tyron Woodley in a welterweight title bout. The Liverpool native went 3-0 under the Misfits Boxing banner before announcing his departure earlier this month. He has won all four of his boxing contests since leaving MMA, including a knockout of Luke Rockhold last August.

The event takes place at Utilita Arena in Birmingham.
