Jon Jones has a message for Kamaru Usman: he would beat him and Brock Lesnar in the same night.

Usman was asked this week on his Pound 4 Pound podcast with Henry Cejudo who would win a hypothetical wrestling match between Jones and Lesnar under the Real American Freestyle banner. While Cejudo picked Jones, Usman went with the former WWE and UFC heavyweight champion. “This is an outrageous question,” Usman said, per MMA Mania. “I would say the sheer size of Brock Lesnar and the way he wrestled. Trying to get a guy of that size down multiple times? I just don’t see it.”

Jones caught wind of the clip and fired back on social media. “I’m getting my hand raised against you and Brock in the same night,” he told Usman, according to MMA Fighting. The exchange comes as Jones recently re-entered the UFC testing pool after President Donald Trump floated hosting a fight card on the White House lawn, though UFC president Dana White has said Jones would not compete on that event.

Lesnar signaled his retirement from WWE after losing to Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42 in March. Jones vacated the UFC heavyweight title last June but has gone back and forth on whether his MMA career is finished. Neither fighter has committed to competing in RAF, which would need a massive purse to lure both former champions onto the mat.

A Jones-Lesnar wrestling match remains speculative for now, but Jones made clear he does not share Usman’s assessment of the size disadvantage.
