The UFC has added a lightweight bout to Saturday’s Vegas 116 card, signing former Bellator standout Lucas Brennan to face Francis Marshall on five days’ notice. Eurosport first reported the matchup, which will take place at the Apex.

Brennan (11-2) — son of former UFC veteran Chris Brennan — went 9-0 in Bellator early in his career with eight finishes before hitting a rough patch in 2024. The 25-year-old dropped consecutive fights in the PFL and under the Fury FC banner, then rebounded with back-to-back first-round submission wins on the Texas regional circuit at Xtreme Knockout. He carries a 91 percent finish rate into his debut, with eight submissions and two knockouts.

Marshall looks to build momentum after Mexico City finish

Marshall (9-3) submitted Erik Silva at UFC Mexico City in February, a performance that led to Silva’s release from the promotion, per MMA Mania. The 3-3 Octagon veteran had previously lost a controversial split decision to Marion Santos and will attempt to string together wins for the first time in his UFC run.

The card also underwent a second late change when Cody Durden replaced the injured Lucas Rocha against Jafel Filho. Durden brings a four-fight skid into the flyweight matchup, according to Sherdog.

UFC Vegas 116 is headlined by a featherweight clash between Aljamain Sterling and Youssef Zalal. The event streams on Paramount+ beginning at 5 p.m. ET Saturday.
